BIM (Building Information Modelling) is an intelligent 3D model-based process that gives Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) professionals the insight and tools to more efficiently plan, design, construct, and manage buildings and infrastructure. BIM focuses on the flow and control of electronic information between disciplines to improve coordination of the design process, reduce on-site issues and subsequently mitigate the programme delays that might ensue.
As a practice, Vincent & Gorbing undertake all our design information using Building Information Modelling (BIM) software. Throughout the design process we employ various 3D modelling and visualising software packages to produce photo-realistic and panoramic images in conjunction with the formal primary building model being developed in the industry-leading AutoDesk Revit. This strategy allows us to produce collaborative information in an Industry Foundation Class (IFC) format which can be used by many forms of software and meets the requirements of the relevant legislation within PAS 1192.
We offer a range of services tailored to suit a client’s particular requirements, from a feasibility study to a full design service, or just a simple planning report.
