Former Little Furze School, South Oxhey

On the 18 March 2021, Three Rivers Planning Committee unanimously resolved to grant planning permission for reserved matters relating to the re-development of the former Little Furze Primary School site in South Oxhey for a 75-bed care home. Vincent + Gorbing worked with the design team on behalf of Hertfordshire County Council to implement a clear strategy to achieve planning permission and produce a state-of-the-art care home development. The 3-storey building will sit comfortably within the sloped terrain of the site, with terraced amenity areas at each level. The development will provide a high-quality living and working environment for future occupiers and carers and incorporates measures to enable the care home to operate safely in the event of a future pandemic outbreak.
