Land at Village Street, Harvington

Vincent+Gorbing is pleased to have secured outline approval for a residential scheme on behalf of the Trustees of Hobden Estates SSAS Ltd for up to 35 units and land for community use in the village of Harvington in Worcestershire

The site was promoted through the Neighbourhood Plan and accepted by the Parish Council as being the best location for new homes given the proximity of the site of the site to local services and the lack of any environmental impact . The scheme includes an area safeguarded for community use and suggestions were sought from the public through a public consultation carried out in advance of submission of the application. An area of community woodland is also proposed. Cumulatively, the drainage basin, landscaped areas and community use land equate to 40% of the site area and the scheme sympathetically reflects the surrounding area. The site also contains a public right of way which has been retained with the illustrative layout minimising the extent of diversion. Affordable housing provision of 40% has been incorporated within the scheme and secured through the S106 Agreement. The scheme was supported unanimously by members of Wychavon planning committee.
