Redevelopment of redundant barns at Burham

A scheme designed by Vincent and Gorbing Associates on behalf of Trenport Investments Ltd secured detailed planning permission by the Vincent and Gorbing Planning Associates team. The scheme is adjacent to a Grade 1 listed church and Grade II farm house and falls partially within flood zone 2. The land is outside the settlement boundary, located within the countryside and a Strategic Gap policy designation, therefore contrary to policy. Planning permission was however granted on the basis of the presumption in favour of sustainable development, the site being in close proximity to two villages providing a range of services and facilities, and the failure of Tonbridge and Malling Council to demonstrate a 5 year land supply.
