Perham Way, London Colney

Vincent and Gorbing provided planning advice and public engagement services to Hertfordshire County Council in relation to an outline planning application to secure redevelopment of a former recreation facility to provide new homes on a site at Perham Way, London Colney.

The scheme involved detailed negotiations with Sport England to agree that replacement facilities provided via a new purpose-built sports centre in close proximity to the site met the policy tests to allow redevelopment. An illustrative layout showing 40 dwellings (at 50dph) was prepared by Vincent and Gorbing and submitted with the application to demonstrate the quantum of development that could be achieved on the site.

The application was approved by the Planning Referrals Committee of St Albans District Council.
