Phase 1 addressed a longstanding requirement to increase and improve the quality of the changing facilities of the club. The extension was designed to reduce the overall visual impact from both the front and rear of the existing clubhouse. The result was a deliberately understated, functional design that worked in harmony with the existing main house. Sympathetic materials, including rusticated sandstone facing stonework, feature quoins and reconstructed stone balustrading were used to harmonise with the existing materials.
Phase 2 consists of a clubhouse refurbishment, interior design and developing the social area to allow the members to enjoy more of the beautiful surroundings. The exising clubhouse will be sympathetically extended to increase the bar area which will also be integrated with an enlarged terrace to maximise the scenic views.
