Vincent and Gorbing obtained a resolution to grant planning permission for two eighteen storey residential towers at Park Place, Stevenage, in 2010. Whilst that Consent was never implemented, the new owners of the site (MBU Capital) approached Vincent and Gorbing in 2016 to secure planning for another large mixed use development on this key town centre site.

Park Place Plaza consists of two, six storey buildings comprising retail units at the ground floor and 202 residential units on the floors above. Planning permission was granted in December 2016 and construction commenced thereafter.

We worked closely with the client, Gardner Stewart Architects (GSA) and with Stevenage Borough Council to steer this development through the planning process to a successful conclusion.

Park Place Plaza is the first major mixed use development to be built in Stevenage town centre for some time, and it is hoped will be catalyst for more development in the town centre, supporting the Borough Council’s regeneration strategy. Vincent and Gorbing is now working with MBU Capital and GSA on other projects in Stevenage town centre.
