Vincent and Gorbing were appointed to design the new storage building to cope with recent growth and future demand of The Wine Society. The new Warehouse (WH5) – which stores up to 5 million bottles of wine – is a new landmark within Stevenage. The coloured and gridded facade and its chequer-board pattern exterior are a delight to the surrounding town-scape. The new 25m tall building promotes the Wine Society to commuters passing by on the adjacent railway and is a welcome addition to the extensive Stevenage site.
