Stantonbury International School, Milton Keynes

Vincent and Gorbing provided comprehensive planning advice and public engagement services to Kier Construction Ltd on behalf of the Department for Education (Priority Schools Building Programme) for development at Stantonbury International School, Milton Keynes.

The development comprises the demolition of two existing teaching blocks and the construction of a part two/three storey teaching block for science and design technology, surface water attenuation measures, hard and soft landscaping and other associated development.

The scheme involved balancing the educational and practical requirements of the school against planning considerations such as the scale and form of the development and the management of car parking on the site. The application was approved under delegated authority by officers at Milton Keynes Council, following detailed negotiations with numerous statutory consultees and local stakeholders.
